This session will consist of five presentations of approximately 15 minutes each on:

The history of autograph collecting.
Mistakes to avoid when collecting (forgeries, facsimiles, unethical sellers, etc.)
Things to know about collecting entertainment autographs (such as reliable sources and ways to preserve and protect your collection).
Tips on hunting for treasures at estate sales.
Considerations for the historical collector (such as how to decide if you can afford to collect in your field of interest).

There will be time for questions after each presentation, and presenters will be available during lunch to individually answer questions. All of the presenters are members of The Manuscript Society and have years of experience in the autograph and manuscript business. They want to share their knowledge and answer your questions, giving you information that you would need several books to cover.

Lunch will be served during this time.
